Mari Belajar Bahasa Sarawak... "sungkei"

So. memandangkan sekarang ni bulan Ramadhan yang penuh dengan keberkatan ni.. aku nak teach korang satu term yang memang tidak asing lagi di Sarawak namun kemungkinan sangat asing kepada korang di tanah semenanjung..

Bila azan berkumandang, kita semua mesti dh tak sabar dh nak meneguk air tebu yang dh tersedia sejam lebih awal tadi.. so pada saat itu, term yg digunakan adalah "berbuka puasa" or dlm bahasa arab nya, "iftar"... dlm bahasa omputih nyer pula, we call that term as "breaking fast"... kat Sarawak, term yg paling popular digunakan adalah "sungkei"... so, kalau ada sedara, kawan2 and awek2 yg asal nyer dr Sarawak tu, boleh le ajak dia org keluar "sungkei"... hahaha..

Saya punya 'Ramadhan Craving'

This is my 2nd time puasa here in Trengganu and i found it fascinating as the foods especially the kuih are totally different... there's one food called sira with a lot of rendition like sira pisang, sira ubi or watever la.. and there's murtabak but here people eat it with onion + vineger... i would not forget akok, a specialty kuih of Trengganu... all this foods really making me lapar.. damn..

but this post is not about the Trengganu food that i found abundant thus bored me everytime i go to bazaar.. that one that hard to found, that's the one that intrigue me more... the more higher the rarity, the more i craved on it.. its kinda like pokemon, except you eat the food and the food doesn't fight each other...

so back to the accident that i've experience last year.. i've miss my early flight back to Sarawak... without any choices, i've stayed in Sunway with my cousin.. there are NO Sarawak delicacies and i was CRAVING A LOT on them..!! damn, i was like so emotional that time, haha... so you can say that, this is my craving that i've been keeping for the last 2 years.. wow, dats long..

clockwise: 1.celorot - a long cylindrical, narrow ended kueh, 2.bubur pedas - a compilation of veggies, meat, and spice, 3. laksa sarawak - most famous delicacy in Swk, 4.bongkol - a sweet kueh wrapped in leafy thingy..

the picture above are the 4 most craved Sarawak food that i've been drooling for months.. i would like to munch my way towards the ecstasy on eating all of them.. yummy..!!! haha... so this is my 'Ramadhan Craving'... wats yours..??

kalau korg dngr je Kelantan, apa yg korang fikirkan..?? mesti korang fikirkan pasal Nik Aziz and PAS kan but actually Kelantan have a lot more to offer and believe me, enjoy gak le jalan2 kat Kelate ni... ni aku nak helping sesama sedarakan, there are a lot of good, budget hotels or inn yg boleh disewakan.. and the food pun senang nak cari.. Kelantan is not that really mundur you know.. ni ada beberapa fact yg korang boleh la consider ckit... kt sini ada KB Mall n KB Trade Center and ada flight academy juga sini..

so enough with Kelantan, nak habaq sikit about the trip... aku pg with my cousins, Sabrina @ Dedek.. dia mai dr Dungun.. aku plak naik bas dr KT awal pagi, around 8.30 gitu... about 11.30 dengan selamatnya aku sampai.. then my other cousins, the soon-to-be -pilot cousin ambik la aku, nama dia Izzad.. so both of us round-round KB sampai la si Dedek ni sampai, then directly pi Rantau Panjang.. Rantau Panjang ni ala-ala Serikin di Swk.. just sebelah Thailand je tempat tu.. banyak le amoi-amoi Thai yg mengancam, habis kurang pahala puasa aku...

malam pulak, kami menyerang Wakaf Che Yeh.. dengan usaha tidak berbelah bahagi, aku dpt gak la beli sepasang baju melayu sekali sampin yg matching dgn harga RM75.. berbaloi gak kan..?? further that night, pg melahap colek (betol ke aku eja mende ni..??) kat PCB @Pantai Cahaya Bulan tp takde cahaya bulan pun malam tu.. letih giler.. the next day jalan kat Pasar Siti Khadijah... around 3pm aku balik Trengganu dgn menumpang salah sorg rakan se-course.. kira-kira agak berpuas hati la trip aku kali ni... haha

1. memilih baju yg bersaiz sesuai, aku beli M je (kehkehkeh), 2. dgn tidak sengaja kmi terpakai jersey bola Man U, Chelsea n Liverpool, 3. kat Pasar Siti Khadijah ni, 4. buka puasa kat McD, yang kat hujung tu Izzati, sorang lagi suku sakat aku kat Trengganu..
